Mission
Charlotte Art League (CAL) is a non-profit adult arts organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts experience and fostering emerging fine and commercial artists through community exposure, networking, education and interaction with fellow artists. CAL offers opportunities for regional artists and art enthusiasts, by providing a gallery, workshop facilities, monthly lectures series, and affordable studio space.
Most all programs and events are Free and Open to the public.
About Us
The Charlotte Art League is non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. It's membership consists of several hundred artists as well as many non-artists who are interested in being associated with and helping support a local arts group. CAL offers it's members an opportunity to develop their interest and grow as artists as well as a number of events each year to help provide the membership with opportunities to display their artwork for public viewing. CAL is located at 1517 Camden Road in Charlotte, NC. The building where we are located has a large gallery where member shows are held and changed out on a regular basis. There are also studio spaces available for rent by working artists. CAL has monthly meetings the third Tuesday each month, September through May, where guest artists present slide shows, lectures or demonstrations of their artwork or techniques. CAL membership is available to anyone 18 or older. Student memberships are available at a reduced rate.
