September 5 – September 26, 2008 Caleidoscope Gallery Exhibit
October 3 – October 24 “Fall into Art 2008” Opening Reception: October 3, 6-9pm A regional juried art competition and exhibition. Artists age 18 and older may enter to compete for $1,000 in cash awards.
November 1 – November 15 “Elements: New Works by Mike Watson and Wil Bosbyshell” Opening Reception: November 7, 6-9pm Closing Reception: November 15, 6-9pm
December 5 – December 26 “Gem Show” Opening Reception: December 5, 6-9pm A small works exhibition where artists are welcome to submit works that measure between 5” x 5” and 16” x 20”. The exhibition will be a “cash and carry” show for the holiday gift-giving season.
January 9 – January 30 “Everything but the Kitchen Synch” Opening Reception: January 9, 6-9pm At the beginning of a new year Charlotte Art League Gallery will be opening up the 2009 season with a show that celebrates with no theme.
February 6 – February 27 To Be Announced Opening Reception: February 6, 6-9pm
March 6 – March 27 “From Icon to Commodity: Images of the Woman” Opening Reception: March 6, 6-9pm In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Charlotte Art League Gallery welcomes work that represents the various images of the woman.
April 3 – April 24 “Spring into Art 2009” Opening Reception: April 3, 6-9pm A regional juried art competition and exhibition. Artists age 18 and older may enter to compete for $1,000 in cash awards.
May 1 – May 29 To Be Announced Opening Reception: May 1, 6-9pm
June 5 – June 26 “The Artists of Goodwill Industries” Opening Reception: June 5, 6-9pm This exhibit will feature the works of participants in the Employment Skills Training program at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. The artwork will be for sale, and all proceeds will go to the artists.
