Join us for the opening show of Upcycle Me! This exhibit asked artists to submit works using found materials in honor of Charlotte Earth Day.

ALL work is for sale. 14 local artists are exhibiting and another 27 have display walls. That’s 100s of pieces of art in one place!

We’re turning our monthly Member Meeting into a Meet-up! The purpose is to create a space for CAL artists to come together and share info.

The ASC Emerging Creators Fellowship AND the Creative Renewal Fellowship grants are OPEN. And we've got information for you. Join us on Saturday, March 15 from 12pm-1pm to hear from ASC Grants Manager, Iván Garnica, as he gives some details about these $10,000 to $15,000 artist opportunities.

Artists submitted work in a series of 3, 4, or, 5 pieces so you can get a glimpse of their whole body of work! But don’t worry—you can purchase 1 or all of the series. All work is for sale.

Bring your valentine over and join us for the opening of our February Exhibit Size Matters! With 56 pieces from 23 local artists this show is not one to miss. With price points ranging from $25 to $15,000 what size DOESN’T matter is the size of your wallet.

The fun doesn’t end there. We’re also opening our Latrina Ekphrastic exhibit curated by CAL artists Chris Arvidson and Janet Dyer.

But wait, there’s more! The very same Chris Arvidson will be doing a book signing and reading from her newly published book Nobody Cares What You Think, also available for sale!

Oh yeah and one more thing…artists will be painting LIVE in the gallery.

Hear CAL updates, get info about calls to art, and share YOUR art news with other members. Hear from Amy Campbell Pratt with Mental Health Reimagined as she walks us through her art installation project Building Bridges opening at CAL in May for Mental Health Month.
