Join us April 14th for the Keeping Charlotte Beautiful Opening Reception.

This exhibit features our very own Queen City - presented in collaboration with Keep Charlotte Beautiful and Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful! Be inspired by this most colorful and bursting time of year in Charlotte. From our skyline to our parks, from glorious gardens, to the gritty… the scenes, landmarks, people, flora, and fauna of our varied and sometimes stunning city.

Artists will show us what they find beautiful in Charlotte.

Keep Charlotte Beautiful is a program offered by the City of Charlotte that focuses on waste reduction, litter prevention, and community greening. This collaborative effort with Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful and the Charlotte Art League was created as an opportunity to feature small-scale student artwork during the month of March. High School students were asked to develop a piece of art, no larger than 18” x 24” inches, that answers the question: What makes Charlotte Beautiful?

City and County staff, as well as Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful Board members, will select the top 10 student entries to hang in the Charlotte Art League’s gallery space from April 14th to May 5th and appear at Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful’s annual Recycle the Runway event at Northgate Mall
