I am taken in by the idea that to grow, to create, one must first destroy the old. That sometimes can include parts of oneself. So while we can move from place to place as the old one burns down, that alone is not enough to create great art and culture. Sometimes, you have to alow parts of yourself die, so that you can be harness that journey down into the depths to generate cultural artifacts that are far more lasting in influence and reach than any one human could ever be.
